Childhood can be very strange, but when you see a movie like Tideland some memories comeback. Hallucinating, macabre, and surreal movie about child solitude.

The Libertine

A time a go i saw The Libertine, a Laurence Dunmore movie with Johnny Deep and John Malkovich. I like this movie, a superb Johnny Deep performance with a good history.

The Libertine is about the life of John Wilmot the Earl of Rochester and the way of life in the England of 17th century. If you like dark movies with no happy endings you must see The Libertine.

Girls are dangerous

This weekend I saw two movies, one is High Tension, a horror flick about a serial killer, pretty good movie with an unexpected end. I recommend you to see the movie in the original language (French) and the uncut version. The other one is Prozac Nation with the participation of Christina Ricci, if you have already read Elizabeth Wurtzel homonym book, this movie is so boring. But if you have not read the book, is kind of an interesting movie about depression and drugs. Lesson of this weekend: “girls are dangerous”.

Dark Side of Time Travel

If you are interested in time travel, forget all those silly movies about this subject, get a copy of “The Jacket”, “Primer” and of course the master piece of “Donnie Darko”. Prepare yourself to meet the dark side of time travel.

Pretty Persuasion

This is a decent movie about manipulation and teenage angst, a dark comedy about sex and rebelious girls. If you like Cruel Intentions or Wild Things you will enjoy this flick.
